Origin and world of the character
The Hulk (Dr Bruce Banner's alter ego) is a mainstay of the Marvel Comics universe, created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby in 1962. Accidentally irradiated by gamma rays during a nuclear test, the brilliant physicist Bruce Banner metamorphoses under the effect of stress or anger into a green monster endowed with almost unlimited and destructive physical strength. This action figure follows on from the Spider-Man: Brand New Day comics, a major story arc published from 2008 onwards. In this hectic urban universe, the web weaver's paths regularly cross those of other figures from the Marvel universe, leading to explosive alliances or destructive misunderstandings in the middle of New York skyscrapers when the Hulk unleashes his indomitable fury.
