Character origin and universe
Based on the Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse comic book miniseries published in 2022 by Marvel Comics, this iteration explores a major temporal anomaly in which Ghost-Spider (Gwen Stacy of Earth-65) is erased from her own timeline. To repair the fabric of reality, she must travel across dimensions and ally herself with variants of herself who have taken on the destinies of Earth’s greatest superheroes. Among these alternate versions is Iron Gwen, a version of Gwen Stacy who has inherited the technological genius and industrial resources to design her own cybernetic combat armour. Combining the natural agility of a web-weaver with repulsor thrusters and Iron Man’s arsenal, she establishes herself as a key force in this multiverse saga.
