Nicknamed “The Glove” for his unique ability to shut down his opponents, he came of age amidst the fiercest battles of the Western Conference, learning to harness his psychological tenacity and absolute mastery of the steal behind a provocative demeanour and a strict win-at-all-costs ethos to protect his basket. It was he who carried on the Sonics’ precious legacy during the legendary Finals of the 1990s, pitting his unwavering determination against the greatest players of his generation. This marked the start of a gruelling journey on the court, where this player with a huge competitive spirit used his leadership to navigate through sporting crises, becoming the elite playmaker essential to halting opponents’ attacks and making a splash in this world of giants.
