Origin and world of the character
Sonic the Hedgehog is the protagonist of the eponymous video game franchise created by Japanese company Sega in 1991. This anthropomorphic blue hedgehog is characterised by his ability to run at supersonic speed and by his enhanced physical reflexes. Evolving within different worlds to preserve nature and his friends, Sonic uses his running techniques and jumping transformations to thwart Doctor Eggman's plans for global conquest. This seasonal themed edition revisits the character through a festive horror aesthetic, adorning him in a pirate costume for Halloween celebrations.
