Origin and character background
Inspired by Disney Studios’ very first animated feature film, released in 1937, thelive-action musical Snow White reimagines this timeless classic for a new generation of viewers. The plot follows the young princess Snow White, whose unrivalled beauty arouses the sickly jealousy of her cruel stepmother, the Wicked Queen. Forced to flee the castle to escape death, Snow White embarks on a courageous journey of self-discovery through the woods, where she finds refuge and friendship with a cheerful band of miners. Driven by timeless songs and a modernised aesthetic, this version celebrates the unwavering optimism and strength of spirit of an iconic heroine in the face of the shadows that threaten her.
