Origin and world of the character
The Skully character is part of the original "POP! Icons" line developed by publisher Funko. This specific range celebrates popular figures, mascots and various cultural representations outside the traditional film and TV franchises. This 'Swimmer' themed version reinterprets the silhouette of a skeleton by attributing to it aesthetic codes associated with swimming sports and summer culture. The brand's signature stylised design plays on the contrast between the classic imagery of the skeleton and a relaxed attitude associated with recreational water activities.
