Origin and background of the character
Yoh Asakura is the main protagonist of the cult classic Shaman King, the famous manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. With a deeply calm, optimistic and easy-going nature, this young boy is the direct heir to the prestigious Asakura family of shamans. Capable of communicating freely with the dead and materialising spirits thanks to his extraordinary spiritual abilities, Yoh moves to Tokyo to perfect his training and take part in the legendary ‘Shaman Fight’ tournament. Accompanied by Amidamaru, a powerful and loyal 600-year-old samurai spirit whom he fuses with his sword using the Over Soul technique, he faces countless rivals to fulfil his ultimate dream: to become the Shaman King and live a peaceful life. Banpresto captures the very essence of the hero here through precise details such as his iconic orange headphones and open shirt, creating a must-have piece for fans of the series.
