Origin and background of the character
Created by Yuto Suzuki, the globally successful manga *Sakamoto Days* has established itself as an essential classic of modern shōnen, blending masterful action sequences with refreshing everyday comedy. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, a legendary retired assassin who has become a peaceful family man running his own small neighbourhood convenience shop. Shin Asakura is a former hitman nicknamed ‘Shin the Clairvoyant’ due to his unique power: he is able to read people’s minds within a limited radius. Initially sent to eliminate his former mentor Sakamoto, Shin ultimately chooses to side with him out of deep admiration. He then becomes the shop’s first employee and Sakamoto’s loyal right-hand man, fending off attacks from assassins seeking to disrupt their peace. This Funko Pop! figurine faithfully captures the dynamic look and determined spirit of this telepathic hero.
