Character background and lore
First introduced in the first generation in the Green and Red versions in Japan, Pikachu is an Electric-type Pokémon native to the Kanto region, which has become an iconic figure in global pop culture. A tireless travelling companion to trainer Ash Ketchum in the animated series, it recharges its energy whilst sleeping and fires electric shocks from its cheek pouches when it feels threatened. The POP! Jumbo range pays a spectacular tribute to this video game legend, offering fans a unique centrepiece that symbolises the franchise’s spirit of adventure and collecting.
