POKEMON - Squirtle - Fluffy Backpack '30x23x12cm'

This officially licensed Pokémon Fluffy rucksack features Squirtle, one of the iconic starter Pokémon from the Kanto region. Manufactured by CYP Brands, it combines a compact size of 30 × 23 × 12 cm with a soft, fluffy outer finish reminiscent of a soft toy.

The design directly incorporates Squirtle’s signature colours. The main panel is a vibrant turquoise blue and features his face with one eye wide open, the other closed in a wink, as well as a broad embroidered smile. The front pocket contrasts with a light grey shade and bears the number 0007, a reference to Squirtle’s position in the National Pokédex. The zip pull is complemented by a small decorative element inspired by a Poké Ball.

The bag has a main compartment accessed via a top-opening zip, as well as a zipped front pocket for organising small accessories. At the back, two padded and adjustable shoulder straps allow you to customise how you carry it, whilst a top handle makes it easy to carry or hang the bag.

Its compact size and soft, plush-like appearance make it both a functional bag and a decorative merchandise item for fans of Pokémon and Squirtle.

Character background and lore

Squirtle is Pokémon No. 0007 in the National Pokédex and is a Water-type Pokémon. It is one of the three historic starter Pokémon from the Kanto region, alongside Bulbasaur and Charmander. Its appearance as a small blue tortoise with a rounded shell is one of the most recognisable designs from the first generation. The official Pokédex places it directly before Blastoise (No. 0008) and Turtwig (No. 0009), its two successive evolutions.

Squirtle’s shell plays a central role in its identity. It serves as protection, and its hydrodynamic shape helps it move through the water. Squirtle primarily uses Water-type moves and gradually becomes more powerful as it evolves into Wartortle and then Blastoise.

In the Pokémon anime series, Squirtle has also become particularly popular thanks to Ash’s Squirtle, former leader of the famous Squirtle Squad before joining his team. The number 0007 on the front pocket of this bag is therefore a direct reference to its historic place amongst the very first Pokémon in the Pokédex.
