Origin and background of the character
Sakuzaki, historically known by his Admiral code name ‘Akainu ’ (the Red Dog), holds the supreme position of Chief Admiral at Marine Headquarters in the monumental series One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda in 1997. A radical and unyielding embodiment of the philosophical doctrine of ‘Absolute Justice’, he advocates the total and indiscriminate eradication of piracy and crime, to the point of sacrificing his own troops if the situation demands it. His destructive power was formally demonstrated during the War at Marineford, as well as during his epic duel against Aokiji on Punk Hazard for supreme command. Having consumed the Magma Fruit (Magu Magu no Mi), a Logia-type Devil Fruit ranked among the most destructive offensive powers in the series, he possesses the absolute ability to generate, manipulate and transform himself entirely into scorching molten rock, capable of piercing any defence. Banpresto’s “The Shukko Logia” collection draws on all its expertise to faithfully reproduce the intricate details of his high-ranking uniform, his cap pulled down over his forehead and his stern facial expression, establishing itself as a must-have item for all fans of the saga.
