Character background and lore
Nico Robin, also known by the nickname ‘The Devil’s Child’, is the official archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates in the legendary manga and anime series One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda. As the sole survivor of the tragedy on Ohara Island, she is the only person in the world capable of deciphering the Poneglyphs, those ancient stone steles revealing the location of the Ancient Weapons and the history of the Forgotten Century. Thanks to the powers of the Hana Hana no Mi (the Bloom-Bloom Fruit), she can make parts of her body (mainly her hands and arms) appear on any surface to immobilise or defeat her opponents.
This figurine is directly inspired bythe Egghead Arc, a major turning point in the story where Luffy and his crew land on the futuristic island of the brilliant and mysterious Marine scientist, Dr Vegapunk. Upon their arrival, the heroes swap their traditional clothes for advanced outfits provided by local technology. Nico Robin wears a sleek, scientific-style outfit comprising a futuristic long jacket and special magnetic shoes, perfectly suited to the infrastructure of this city of science. This model is a must-have for all fans who follow the modern developments and the latest story arcs of the saga.
