Nefertari Vivi is the princess of the desert kingdom of Alabasta. She first appears under the alias Miss Wednesday, which she used whilst infiltrating the criminal organisation Baroque Works. Her aim is to uncover those responsible for the unrest threatening her kingdom and to prevent a civil war.
During her mission, Vivi meets Monkey D. Luffy and his crew. She travels temporarily alongside the Straw Hats to Alabasta, where the group faces off against Crocodile and Baroque Works. Despite the particularly strong bonds she forms with the crew, Vivi ultimately chooses to remain in her kingdom in order to fulfil her duties as princess and help rebuild it.
Her courage, sense of duty and devotion to her people make Vivi one of the most memorable allies of Luffy’s crew and a central figure in the Alabasta arc.
