Origin and character background
Monkey D. Luffy is the central protagonist of the monumental work One Piece, the legendary Shonen manga created by Eiichiro Oda in 1997. Having accidentally consumed the Gomu Gomu Devil Fruit (later revealed to be the Hito Hito no Mi, Model Nika), his body became entirely elastic. As the iconic captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, he explores the world’s most dangerous seas in search of the ultimate treasure left by Gol D. Roger and to fulfil his dream of becoming the Pirate King. Banpresto’s “Battle Record Collection” is particularly renowned for capturing the visceral energy of the fighters’ iconic combat poses and special moves through meticulous and ultra-dynamic sculpting. This figurine meticulously recreates the details of his straw hat, the folds of his battle outfit and the fierce expression on his face, establishing itself as a must-have piece for all fans of the saga.
