Origin and background of the character
Kuzan, better known by his former Admiral code name ‘Aokiji’ (the Blue Pheasant), is one of the major figures in the monumental One Piece series, created by Eiichiro Oda in 1997. A follower of a very personal philosophical doctrine which he describes as “Lazy Justice”, this towering figure dramatically left the ranks of the Navy following his devastating defeat at the hands of his colleague Akainu in the battle for the position of Fleet Admiral on Punk Hazard. Having consumed the Hie Hie no Mi (Frost Fruit), an extremely powerful Logia-type Devil Fruit, he possesses the absolute ability to generate, manipulate and transform himself entirely into ice, to the point of being able to instantly freeze vast stretches of ocean or render his targets completely immobile. Now a maverick sailing the treacherous waters of the New World, his recent alliances have aroused the suspicion of the world’s major factions. Banpresto’s “The Shukko Logia” collection draws on all its expertise to faithfully reproduce the details of his elegant coat, his round glasses and his impassive demeanour, establishing itself as a must-have piece for all fans of the saga.
