Origin and background of the character
Koby is one of the characters with the most remarkable, inspiring and symbolic evolution in the pirate masterpiece One Piece, created by the genius mangaka Eiichiro Oda. Initially a cowardly and frail ship’s boy forced to work on Alvida’s ship, his life is turned upside down by a chance encounter with Monkey D. Luffy, who instils in him the courage to pursue his dream. After joining the Navy, he undergoes gruelling training under Vice-Admiral Monkey D. Garp alongside Helmeppo. Having risen to the rank of Colonel and become a prominent member of the elite secret unit SWORD, Koby rises to the rank of a true ‘Hero of the Navy’ following his selfless act during the Rocky Port incident, developing a Haki of Armament and Observation of phenomenal power.
This 12 cm figure from the "Battle Record" collection perfectly captures all the passion, courage and determination of the young officer ready to defend his ideals. The sculpture meticulously highlights his official Navy uniform, his signature scarf tied around his neck, his glasses pushed up onto his forehead, and his famous cross-shaped scar above his right eye. The fierce and focused expression on his face beautifully captures the intensity of his martial spirit, making this an absolute must-have piece to complement the figurine of his mentor, Monkey D. Garp, from the same collection.
