This impressive Banpresto figurine depicts Dracule Mihawk, the legendary ‘Hawk’s Eye’ from One Piece, as part of the One Piece Premium collection and featuring its special ‘The Metallic’ finish. Standing approximately 34 cm tall, this version is characterised by the use of paints with metallic and satin finishes that enhance the brilliance of his outfit and his immense black sword, Yoru.
Mihawk is depicted standing in a calm and perfectly confident pose. His right arm is raised behind his head, close to the hilt of Yoru, whilst his left arm hangs naturally by his side. His face retains his particularly piercing gaze, his thin moustache, goatee and sideburns, whilst his wide black hat is adorned with an imposing silver decorative element.
The ‘The Metallic’ finish significantly transforms the appearance of the outfit. The sleeves feature a shiny golden hue with embossed ornamental patterns, whilst the trousers have a particularly reflective silver finish. The long coat remains predominantly black with a burgundy lining, creating a more understated contrast with the metallic surfaces of the rest of the costume. The cross-shaped pendant and several details on the belt also feature a gold finish.
Yoru is, of course, one of the highlights of the ensemble. The gigantic black blade is carried vertically on his back, whilst its cross-shaped hilt extends well beyond Mihawk’s shoulders. The hilt features a gold finish as well as several blue, green and red ornaments reminiscent of precious stones. The rear view also allows you to see the full length of the weapon and the fastenings that secure it to the character’s back.

Character background and lore
Dracule Mihawk is one of the most famous swordsmen in the One Piece universe. Nicknamed ‘Hawk’s Eye’, he is officially recognised as the world’s greatest swordsman. A former member of the Seven Great Pirates, he has a bounty of 3.59 billion berries and wields Yoru, a black blade that is one of the Twelve Supreme Swords.
His first encounter with Roronoa Zoro marks a defining moment in the latter’s journey. Whilst Zoro has already forged a reputation as a pirate hunter, he challenges Mihawk to gauge just how far he still is from his goal. Mihawk defeats him with overwhelming ease, but recognises his determination and encourages him to become stronger before returning to face him again.
Their relationship then takes an unexpected turn when Zoro asks Mihawk to train him. Although he knows that his pupil ultimately wishes to surpass him, Mihawk agrees to teach him the art of the sword for the two years following the Straw Hat crew’s separation. The world’s greatest swordsman thus temporarily becomes the direct mentor of the very man who aspires to take his title.
Following the abolition of the Grand Pirates system, Mihawk joins forces with Crocodile and finds himself at the heart of the Cross Guild alongside Buggy. His immense reputation is one of the main factors behind the power attributed to this organisation. Even amongst the elite fighters of One Piece, his status remains exceptional: Commander Vista of the Whitebeard Pirates is notably officially presented as a swordsman talented enough to stand up to him.
This ‘The Metallic’ Premium Edition captures this image of power and elegance particularly well. The gold and silver finishes enhance the prestigious appearance of the outfit and of Yoru, whilst Mihawk’s very calm demeanour serves as a reminder that he generally does not need a spectacular pose to command attention.
