Character background and universe (Lore)

In *The New Batman Adventures*, the role of Robin is played by Tim Drake, a young boy who becomes Batman’s new partner following the departure of Dick Grayson, now known as Nightwing.

Tim stands out for his intelligence, courage and more spontaneous nature. Under Bruce Wayne’s tutelage, he learns to use combat techniques, infiltration skills and the many gadgets associated with Gotham’s vigilantes.

He fights alongside Batman, Batgirl and Nightwing against the city’s many criminals, whilst trying to find his own place within this team of heroes.

This POP! Animation No. 656 thus pays tribute to the version of Tim Drake / Robin from the DC animated universe, in a design faithful to the aesthetic of *The New Batman Adventures*.
