Based on Naruto Shippuden, this Banpresto figurine depicts Naruto Uzumaki in an outfit directly associated with his return to Konoha during the Pain arc. Part of the BANPRE KUJI PREMIUM – The Anime range, this version stands approximately 30 cm tall and is one of three finishes available for this sculpture, alongside The Brush and The Metallic.
Naruto wears his iconic orange and black Shippuden outfit, complemented by a long, open red cape and his Konoha headband. He strikes a calm and confident pose: one hand rests on a large scroll placed beside him, whilst the other is resting on his hip. The long ties of his headband extend horizontally behind his head, helping to lend the figure a sense of movement.
The ‘The Anime’ version is characterised by a vibrant colour scheme that closely matches the animation series. Naruto appears with blue eyes and a broad smile, whilst the cape retains a vivid red and the outfit its characteristic orange tones. The ‘The Brush’ and ‘The Metallic’ versions use exactly the same sculpt but feature, respectively, a more shaded paint scheme and a glossier finish.
Naruto Uzumaki is the protagonist of Masashi Kishimoto’s work. An orphan and host to Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox, he grew up in isolation in Konoha whilst pursuing a clear goal: to become Hokage in order to gain the recognition of the village’s inhabitants. His journey in Naruto Shippuden gradually sees him transform from a marginalised young ninja into a fighter recognised as one of the heroes of the shinobi world.
The outfit reproduced on this figurine is particularly associated with the Pain arc. Following Jiraiya’s death, Naruto sets off to train on Mount Myôboku in order to master Senjutsu and Hermit Mode. Whilst he was away, Pain launched a massive attack on Konoha and destroyed much of the village. Naruto then returned from Mount Myôboku wearing his red cloak and accompanied by the toads, before facing Pain’s Six Paths.
This battle marks a decisive turning point in his development. Naruto makes full use of Hermit Mode and his perfected techniques, notably the Fūton – Rasen Shuriken, before confronting Nagato on the issue of the cycle of hatred. In the wake of these events, the boy who had sought recognition since childhood is hailed as a true hero by the people of Konoha.
The Premium The Anime figurine thus captures one of Naruto’s most iconic appearances in Shippuden, opting for a smiling expression and blue eyes specific to this Anime Colour variant rather than the Hermit Mode features used on some of the other finishes.
