Origin and character background (Lore)
Created by the Japanese firm Sanrio in 1975, My Melody is a very popular little white rabbit, instantly recognisable by her pink hood covering her ears. Born in the magical forest of Maryland, she has a gentle, honest and deeply kind nature. She loves spending time baking biscuits with her mum or savouring delicious slices of almond cake – her favourite dessert – in the company of her best friend, the little mouse Flat. Often pitted against her friendly rival Kuromi, My Melody embodies joie de vivre, innocence and kindness. This minimalist mug celebrates the heart-warming world of this iconic character, adding a touch of poetry to every coffee or tea break.
