Produced by SEGA Goods, this figurine, measuring approximately 18 cm, depicts Bakugo in a dynamic pose that perfectly captures his aggressive and spectacular fighting style. Katsuki Bakugo is one of the main characters in My Hero Academia and the long-standing rival ofIzuku Midoriya, whom he has known since childhood. A particularly gifted pupil in Class 1-A at Yuei High School, he possesses excellent physical abilities, great tactical intelligence and a remarkable fighting instinct.
His Quirk, known as Explosion, allows him to secrete a substance similar to nitroglycerine from his palms and then detonate it at will. He uses this ability not only to attack but also to propel himself through the air or to change direction abruptly during a fight.
Bakugo has a particularly explosive temperament, much like his power. Arrogant, competitive and often aggressive in his manner of expression, he has been convinced since childhood that he will become the number one hero.
Behind this attitude, however, lies an extremely serious fighter. Bakugo quickly analyses his opponents and controls his Quirk with a precision far greater than his seemingly chaotic style might suggest.
His rivalry with Deku is one of the central themes of the series. Whilst he once regarded his childhood friend as vastly inferior to himself, Izuku’s spectacular progress gradually forces him to question his own definition of strength and what it really means to become a hero.
His time at Yuei thus leads him to develop both as a fighter and as a person. He gradually learns to collaborate more with his classmates and to recognise the qualities of others, without losing his ambition or his particularly intense nature.
This Xross Link figure is also available from several retailers under licence from the fourth film, *My Hero Academia: You’re Next*. The film sees Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki team up to face a new threat in the form of Dark Might and the Gorrini crime family.
This Xross Link figure perfectly captures what defines Katsuki Bakugo: boundless energy, absolute determination and an explosive fighting style that makes him one of the most recognisable fighters in My Hero Academia.
