MY HERO ACADEMIA - Katsuki Bakugo - Figure Maximatic 23cm

This Maximatic figurine from Banpresto depicts Katsuki Bakugo, one of the main heroes of *My Hero Academia*, in a particularly dynamic pose. Standing approximately 23 cm tall, it is part of a range designed to depict anime characters in spectacular poses that highlight their power and personality.

Bakugo is depicted in full motion, in a mid-air pose that directly evokes his explosive fighting style. The sculpt emphasises the sense of speed through the orientation of his body and the wide stance of his legs and arms. His determined expression, spiky blonde hair and distinctive mask make the character instantly recognisable.

The figurine features his hero costume in shades of black, green and orange, along with his various pieces of equipment. The imposing accessories worn on his forearms, the reinforced armour and the details of his outfit all help to recreate the aggressive and functional appearance associated with Dynamight. The unusual pose also gives the figurine a silhouette that is very different from a traditional static representation.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Katsuki Bakugo is one of the central characters in My Hero Academia. A pupil in Class 1-A at Yuei Hero High School, he has aspired since childhood to become a professional hero and to surpass the greatest role models of his generation. His explosive temperament – he is extremely competitive and often provocative – contrasts with his keen sense of combat and his determination to improve.

His Quirk, Explosion, allows him to secrete a nitroglycerine-like substance from his palms and detonate it at will. Bakugo uses this ability both as an offensive weapon and as a means of propulsion, which explains his particularly mobile and aerial fighting style. His hero gear is specially designed to channel and amplify these explosions.

Behind his impulsive nature, Bakugo gradually evolves as the series progresses. His rivalry with Izuku Midoriya is one of the central themes of *My Hero Academia* and leads him to question his conception of strength, the role of a hero and his relationship with those who fight alongside him.
