MY HERO ACADEMIA - Izuku & Bakugo - Figure S.H. Figuarts 8.5cm

This S.H.Figuarts set from Bandai Tamashii Nations brings together Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo in their childhood forms, as they appear in the flashbacks of *My Hero Academia*. Measuring approximately 8.5 cm, both figures feature the range’s signature articulation and come with a range of accessories to recreate various scenes from their childhood.

Izuku Midoriya is depicted with his tousled green hair and his childhood outfit, consisting notably of a light-coloured T-shirt and shorts. Several interchangeable faces allow you to recreate different expressions, ranging from his enthusiastic admiration for heroes to the more anxious reactions characteristic of the young Deku. He also comes with a wide selection of interchangeable hands, as well as a pair of clasped hands.

Katsuki Bakugo, meanwhile, is depicted in his younger self, with his spiky blonde hair and an attitude that is already particularly self-assured. His various interchangeable faces and hands allow for a variety of poses and capture his energetic and competitive nature. Thanks to the S.H.Figuarts articulated design, the two characters can be posed together in numerous scenarios inspired by their shared memories.

The set also places great emphasis on their passion for All Might. A mini-figure of the famous hero is included, along with two sets of All Might cards and two sets of Heroes Chips. These accessories allow you to recreate scenes that directly evoke the admiration Izuku and Katsuki felt for the Symbol of Peace during their childhood.

Character background and lore

Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo have known each other since childhood. Both grew up in a world where the majority of the population possesses an Alter and developed a deep fascination for professional heroes from a very early age, particularly All Might, regarded as the Symbol of Peace.

Izuku, however, was born without an Alter. Despite this lack of power, from a very young age he harboured the dream of becoming a hero and spent a great deal of time observing and analysing the abilities of those he admired. His enthusiasm for All Might was already particularly strong during his childhood, and items dedicated to the hero feature prominently in his memories.

Katsuki, nicknamed Kacchan by Izuku, on the other hand, manifests a powerful Quirk called Explosion at a very young age. His exceptional abilities quickly give him great self-confidence and reinforce his ambition to become the best hero. This difference between the two children gradually contributes to transforming their initial friendship into a much more conflict-ridden relationship.

Their shared story then becomes one of the main storylines of *My Hero Academia*. Upon both enrolling at Yuei High School, Izuku and Katsuki are forced to overcome the tensions carried over from their childhood. Their rivalry gradually evolves into a deeper mutual understanding, with each pushing the other to improve and to redefine their own conception of what it truly means to be a hero.
