Origin and character background
Released in 1984, directed by Joe Dante and produced by Steven Spielberg, the Christmas film Gremlins is a cult horror comedy that has left its mark on generations of film lovers. The adventure begins in the small town of Kingston Falls when Billy Peltzer receives an unusual Christmas present from his father, found in Chinatown: an adorable Mogwai named Gizmo. Adopting this creature comes with three strict rules: do not expose it to light, do not get it wet, and never feed it after midnight. Unfortunately, following an accident, water is spilled on Gizmo, giving rise to a horde of mischievous and destructive monsters. The design of this keyring is directly inspired by the iconic film scene where the rampaging monsters, wearing their two-tone 3D glasses, settle into their seats to watch and sing along to Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
