Discover BUSTER DOLL TANK, an articulated model kit from Kotobukiya’s Megami Device range. Standing approximately 17.2 cm tall when assembled, this creation combines a bishōjo-style figurine with imposing mechanical armour inspired by a heavy tank.
BUSTER DOLL TANK is based on the Machinica Block2-M articulated body designed by Masaki Apsy. This new-generation structure has been completely redesigned to simplify assembly, improve proportions and offer greater customisation options. The character features purple hair and an outfit inspired by a sailor’s uniform, contrasting with massive black, grey and fluorescent green mechanical armour.
The kit comprises numerous layered armour plates, bulky mechanical modules and several connection points. The kit can be configured in Armed Mode with its full armament and armour, or in Unarmed Mode for a much lighter appearance. Additional chest and waist parts also allow the figure to be assembled in a basic form without the mechanical suit.
The set includes three pre-painted faces as well as unprinted face parts for further customisation. Three types of rigid plastic hands are included, including hands designed to grip both round and square handles. A new display stand is also included with the model to facilitate dynamic poses.
Thanks to standard 3 mm connectors distributed across the body and armour, BUSTER DOLL TANK is compatible with numerous parts from the M.S.G, Frame Arms, Frame Arms Girl, Hexa Gear, Sousai Shojo Teien and Arcanadea ranges. This modularity allows for extensive customisation of its armament, equipment or even its silhouette after assembly.

Origin and background of the model
Megami Device is an original range from Kotobukiya based on the concept of a futuristic combat hobby. In this universe, small autonomous humanoid robots called Megami can be assembled, equipped, customised and then used in simulated battles. The concept behind the range is therefore to combine bishōjo-style characters with highly modular mechanical weapons and armour.
Each Megami is based on a Machinica articulated framework designed by Masaki Apsy, whilst various illustrators and designers contribute to creating the visual identity and mechanical equipment for each model. The parts are moulded in a range of colours and the faces feature pre-applied prints, allowing for a finish that closely resembles the promotional artwork without necessarily requiring painting.
BUSTER DOLL TANK is the third model developed using the new Machinica Block2-M architecture. The concept was devised by Megami Device producer Toriwo Toriyama, the mechanical design by Task, and the character design by illustrator Parsley. Its identity is based on the contrast between a light outfit inspired by a naval uniform and extremely heavy armour reminiscent of an armoured vehicle.
The real standout feature of the BUSTER DOLL TANK, however, lies in its modularity. The numerous joints, armour plates and 3 mm connectors have been designed to allow collectors to dismantle, recombine and enhance the model with other Kotobukiya accessories. The kit can thus evolve far beyond its original configuration and directly illustrates the central principle of Megami Device: building your own mechanical combatant rather than simply assembling a static figure.
