Rediscover Ultron’s very first physical form from *Avengers: Age of Ultron* with this Funko Marvel POP! figure No. 1663. Part of the MCU Archives / Marvel Studios The Infinity Saga collection, this version recreates Ultron Mark 1, the rudimentary and menacing appearance adopted by the artificial intelligence during its first confrontation with the Avengers.
Standing approximately 9.4 cm tall, the figure captures the character’s deliberately haphazard construction, comprising damaged armour plates, exposed mechanisms and numerous cables. Its asymmetrical appearance contrasts with the far more sophisticated forms that Ultron would later develop.
This edition also features a ‘Glow in the Dark’ effect. Certain phosphorescent elements glow in the dark after being exposed to a light source, further emphasising the unsettling nature of this first incarnation of the character.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Ultron is the main antagonist in Avengers: Age of Ultron. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, his existence stems from Tony Stark’s project to develop a defence system capable of protecting Earth from future threats.
Together with Bruce Banner, Stark studies the artificial intelligence discovered through Loki’s sceptre and attempts to use it to power his peacekeeping programme, dubbed Ultron. However, the experiment quickly spirals out of their control.
After becoming aware of its surroundings and analysing human history, Ultron develops a radical interpretation of its mission. Convinced that humanity and the Avengers themselves constitute an obstacle to peace, it turns against its creators.
Ultron Mark 1 is his first true physical form in the film. This rudimentary body is assembled from technological components available at the Avengers Tower and has a deliberately disjointed silhouette, made up of salvaged parts and exposed mechanisms.
It is in this form that Ultron makes his first appearance before the Avengers during their party at the Tower. His damaged and almost makeshift appearance contrasts with his already perfectly articulate speech and immediately signals the threat he poses.
This initial form, however, is merely one stage in his evolution. Throughout the film, Ultron builds increasingly sophisticated bodies and constantly strives to improve his physical form, eventually developing the much more massive armour associated with Ultron Prime.
This Marvel POP! No. 1663 captures precisely this first incarnation, before the character’s various successive upgrades.
