Origin and character lore
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is the brilliant and manipulative director of the CIA. Working behind the scenes to eliminate evidence of her past misdeeds, she orchestrates the creation of a government team of super-soldiers and anti-heroes: the Thunderbolts. However, her schemes are thwarted by the emergence of an unprecedented existential threat: The Void. This force of absolute destruction is none other than the dark and malevolent counterpart lurking within the psyche of Robert Reynolds (The Sentry), capable of plunging the entire universe into darkness. This double action pack captures the psychological and physical clash between bureaucratic control and utter cosmic chaos.
