Character origin and backstory (Lore)
Originally appearing in the Marvel Comics universe as Gwenpool’s eccentric sidekick, Jeff the Land Shark quickly became a favourite with readers before joining the roster of the competitive action video game Marvel Rivals, a third-person shooter developed by NetEase Games. In this fast-paced title, superheroes and supervillains battle it out in teams within destructible arenas across the multiverse.
Jeff stands out from other sharks thanks to his four short little legs, which allow him to move at breakneck speed on dry land. Despite his rows of sharp teeth, his playful nature and insatiable appetite (which drives him to gobble up everything he finds, including enemy projectiles) make him the most unpredictable ally on the battlefield. This spring-loaded figure perfectly captures his rounded shape and cheerful demeanour, establishing itself as the essential centrepiece for all Marvel Rivals competitors.
