Character origin and backstory (Lore)

Jeff the Land Shark is a character from the Marvel Comics universe. Despite his appearance as a particularly cute little shark, Jeff is able to move around on land and has a playful, curious and often unpredictable personality. He is notably associated with Gwenpool before becoming a recurring character alongside other Marvel heroes.

His affectionate behaviour deliberately contrasts with his shark-like appearance. Jeff is generally portrayed as a friendly, greedy and energetic creature, which has enabled him to become one of the most popular comic characters in the contemporary Marvel universe.

The Mini Egg Attack MEA-130 series capitalises precisely on this personality by depicting Jeff in various everyday situations: asleep, swimming, walking, helping out or causing minor incidents. The secret Venom Shark variant takes this concept even further by combining Jeff with the aesthetic of the Venom symbiote.
