Character background and lore

Ayumu Uehara is a second-year pupil at Nijigasaki High School and a member of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. Hard-working and persevering, she is steadily moving towards her goals and decided to become a school idol after discovering this world with her childhood friend. Her journey is largely driven by her desire to improve despite her doubts and to find her own way of expressing herself on stage.

Ayumu is characterised by a gentle, diligent and sincere personality. Whilst other club members possess a very distinct artistic identity from the outset, she gradually builds her own through hard work and her close bonds with those around her. She is also part of the unit A・ZU・NA alongside Shizuku Osaka and Setsuna Yuki. This personal growth and her determination to move forward ‘step by step’ are central aspects of her character within the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club universe.
