KINGDOM - Ohhon - Figure Vibration Stars 16cm

This Banpresto figurine from the Vibration Stars collection features Ō Hon – also transliterated as Ou Hon or Ouhon – one of the most talented young commanders in the Qin army in *Kingdom*. Standing approximately 16 cm tall, it depicts the leader of the Gyoku Hou unit in a particularly dynamic offensive stance, true to his precise and methodical fighting style.

Ō Hon is depicted in the midst of an attack, his long spear thrust forward whilst his body follows the movement. His firmly planted legs and focused gaze lend the composition a sense of speed and mastery, perfectly befitting a fighter whose techniques rely more on precision, agility and mastery of the spear than on brute force.

The sculpture depicts his military attire, featuring richly detailed metallic grey armour combined with black, gold and red elements. The red fabric visible at the centre of his outfit provides a striking contrast to the metallic armour and helps to convey the character’s noble and martial bearing. The various elements of his armour and his imposing spear immediately reinforce his identity as a Qin cavalryman and commander.

Banpresto’s Vibration Stars range focuses on characters captured in the thick of the action, with poses designed to convey the movement and intensity of combat scenes. This version of Ō Hon can therefore be displayed alongside Mō Ten and the other Kingdom characters featured in the same collection, bringing together several representatives of the new generation of Qin commanders.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Ō Hon is one of the leading young officers of the State of Qin in *Kingdom*, a manga by Yasuhisa Hara set against the backdrop of the wars to unify China during the Warring States period. Born into a prestigious military family, he is the son of the great general Ō Sen and grew up determined to prove himself worthy of his heritage.

At the head of the Gyoku Hou unit, Ō Hon stands out for his exceptional mastery of the spear. His fighting style relies on rapid and extremely precise attacks, but he also possesses strong tactical skills. His serious, proud and particularly demanding nature contrasts with that of Shin, with whom he develops a strong rivalry from an early age.

Along with Shin and Mō Ten, Ō Hon belongs to a new generation of commanders destined to play an increasingly important role in Qin’s military campaigns. The three men follow different paths and are in constant competition, each seeking to amass the feats necessary to attain the rank of Grand General. Despite their differences, they are regularly called upon to coordinate their forces during major battles.

Like many characters in *Kingdom*, Ō Hon is inspired by a real historical figure. His model is Wang Ben, a Qin general and son of the famous Wang Jian, who played an active role in the campaigns leading to the unification of China under the Qin dynasty. This historical basis is reinterpreted in the manga to make Ō Hon one of the main rivals and comrades-in-arms of Shin’s generation.
