History and background of the model
Created by mangaka Naoya Matsumoto, Kaiju No. 8 first appeared on the Shōnen Jump+ platform in 2020 before being adapted into an animated series internationally. The story follows Kafka Hibino, a thirty-something working to clean up the remains of monsters who, after accidentally ingesting a parasitic creature, acquires the ability to metamorphose into a powerful humanoid identified by the defence forces under the code name "Kaiju No. 8". Despite his monstrous form, he retains his human conscience and uses his strength to join elite troops to protect the population.
Produced by Funko, this figurine embodies the hero's unique design and biological armour, making it one of the centrepieces of the series devoted to the major protagonists of this licence.
