This Luminasta figurine from SEGA Goods depicts Naoya Zen’in as a child, as he appears in the Culling Game arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. Made from PVC and standing approximately 10 cm tall, this version offers a very different portrayal from the character’s adult appearance, with an energetic pose that directly evokes a memory of his youth.
Naoya is depicted running barefoot, wearing a dark blue kimono paired with a light grey hakama. His particularly enthusiastic expression, his raised leg and his arms in motion give the sculpture a real sense of movement. The figurine rests on a wide oval plinth, the surface of which replicates a wooden floor, reinforcing the impression of a scene captured in the moment within the Zen’in clan’s residence.
The sculpture retains several features that allow the young Naoya to be immediately recognised, notably his short hair and lively gaze. This childlike appearance contrasts sharply with the cold and arrogant temperament he will develop in adulthood. SEGA’s Luminasta range favours a compact yet narrative composition here, focusing more on a specific moment in the character’s story than on a traditional combat pose.

Character background and lore
Naoya Zen’in belongs to one of the most influential families in the world of exorcism in Jujutsu Kaisen. The son of Naobito Zen’in, the twenty-sixth head of the clan, he is also the cousin of Maki and Mai Zen’in. As an adult, Naoya holds the rank of Special Class 1 Exorcist and is one of the clan’s leading figures during the events following the Shibuya Incident. The anime’s official website confirms his membership of the Zen’in family as well as his rank.
From childhood, Naoya was regarded as particularly talented and grew up convinced that he was destined to occupy a dominant position within the clan. This upbringing contributed significantly to his arrogance and his obsession with power. A defining moment in his youth was his encounter with Toji Zen’in, a member who had been cast out of the clan due to his complete lack of occult energy. Naoya expected to find someone weak, but was deeply impressed by Toji’s presence and exceptional physical strength.
This memory plays an important role in his perception of strength and partly explains the almost obsessive interest he later takes in people capable of reaching a level comparable to Toji’s. The ‘Childhood’ version chosen by SEGA focuses specifically on this period of Naoya’s life, before he became one of the most formidable and contentious members of the Zen’in clan.
