This FuRyu figurine celebrates Hatsune Miku in an original collaboration with the Japanese confectionery brand TIROL CHOCO. This ‘Coffee Nougat’ version translates the visual identity of one of the brand’s iconic chocolates into an outfit specially designed for Miku. Standing approximately 19 cm tall, the figurine is based on an original illustration by Hiten.
The outfit primarily features the colours associated with Coffee Nougat, with a predominance of black, brown and cream tones enhanced by the turquoise accents characteristic of Hatsune Miku. The outfit combines several elements inspired by the confectionery and its packaging, giving the character an appearance that is both elegant and deliberately whimsical. Miku’s long turquoise pigtails flow out widely around her silhouette, emphasising the movement of the design.
Distinctive details include a small hat bearing the inscription ‘TIROL’ and several colourful ribbons incorporated into the costume. The design is therefore not limited to simply echoing the product’s colours: it directly adapts TIROL CHOCO’s visual identity to Hatsune Miku’s visual universe.

Character background and lore
Hatsune Miku was originally a synthetic voice developed by Crypton Future Media. Launched on 31 August 2007 for the VOCALOID2 engine, it enables creators to produce sung vocal parts by inputting lyrics and melodies. Her visual identity, characterised in particular by her long turquoise pigtails, quickly transcended the confines of the software to become that of a true icon of Japanese digital culture.
What makes Hatsune Miku unique is her openness to creative expression. Over the years, musicians, illustrators, videographers and other artists have developed a vast collection of songs and works centred on the character. Crypton now describes her as a figure born from voice synthesis software who has become a global creative phenomenon, driven largely by her community.
TIROL CHOCO, meanwhile, is a Japanese brand of small chocolates whose history dates back to the launch of the TIROL range in 1962. The individual 10-yen format appeared in 1979 and has played a major part in shaping the brand’s popular identity. Coffee Nougat is one of its classic flavours and serves here as the starting point for the design of Miku’s costume.
This collaboration thus illustrates particularly well Hatsune Miku’s capacity to be constantly reinterpreted. Rather than reproducing a single ‘official’ outfit, the figurine transforms the visual identity of a Japanese chocolate bar into an original costume, whilst retaining the instantly recognisable elements of the virtual singer.
