Character background and lore
In the world of digital music and global pop culture, Hatsune Miku is the most famous virtual diva on the planet. This special “Black Maneki Miku” edition merges the singer with turquoise pigtails with the traditional figure of the Maneki-neko, the famous Japanese cat raising its paw to attract good fortune. Whilst the classic white version traditionally invites customers and general good luck, the black cat version (Kuro Maneki-neko) carries powerful talismanic symbolism: it is traditionally believed to ward off evil spirits, protect the health of the household and repel negative energies. This figurine celebrates the perfect harmony between the protective beliefs of old Japan and the modernity of contemporary otaku culture. An essential, elegant and mystical piece for all Nendoroid collectors.
