Description

This Bitty Pop! Town set from Funko brings the world of Harry Potter to life in miniature form, featuring three iconic locations from Diagon Alley, each accompanied by their respective characters. The set includes the Leaky Cauldron with Rubeus Hagrid, Gringotts Bank with a dragon, and Fleury and Bott’s bookshop with Ginny Weasley. It allows you to recreate a small section of the wizarding shopping district in the recognisable style of Funko’s Pop! figures.

The first set depicts the Leaky Cauldron, the London pub which serves as one of the main gateways to Diagon Alley. It comes with a Bitty Pop! mini-figure of Rubeus Hagrid. The second set recreates Gringotts, the wizarding bank, with its distinctive architecture, and features a dragon, reminiscent of the impressive creatures associated with the bank’s underground levels.

The third diorama is dedicated to Flourish and Blotts, the famous magical bookshop where Hogwarts pupils come to buy their textbooks, amongst other things. Ginny Weasley accompanies this miniature façade, thus completing the set of three characters included in the box set. The various buildings have been designed to accommodate the Bitty Pop! figures, allowing Hagrid, the dragon and Ginny to be placed directly inside their respective settings.

Each mini-figure comes in a rigid, transparent acrylic case. The removable base of the case can also serve as a small display stand to which the figure is attached. The characters can be removed from their cases to be incorporated into the Bitty Pop! Town buildings. The items in the set measure approximately 2.3 to 5.1 cm depending on the type, offering a particularly compact size for display.

With its three buildings and three characters, this set can serve as a starting point for a miniature collection dedicated to the wizarding world or complement other Harry Potter Bitty Pop! items. Its small size allows you to bring together several locations and characters in a limited space whilst retaining the stylised aesthetic of the Funko range.

Origin and lore of the characters and locations

Diagon Alley is one of the main shopping districts in the British wizarding world in Harry Potter. Hidden from Muggles, it is home to numerous shops and establishments essential to wizards. It is here, in particular, that Harry truly discovers the world to which he belongs before his first year at Hogwarts.

The Leaky Cauldron is a magical inn located in London and hidden from Muggles. A courtyard at the rear of the inn provides access to Diagon Alley by knocking on certain bricks in a specific order. Hagrid accompanies Harry on his first visit and introduces him to the various shops in the neighbourhood.

Gringotts is the leading bank in the wizarding world in Britain. Run by goblins, it houses countless vaults protected within vast underground chambers. Some of the most heavily secured levels feature particularly dangerous security measures, including a huge dragon tasked with guarding several vaults.

Fleury and Bott is one of the best-known bookshops on Diagon Alley. Hogwarts pupils visit it regularly before the start of term to buy the books they need for their lessons. The shop appears several times throughout the series and, notably, becomes the scene of a turbulent encounter between several members of the Weasley and Malfoy families.

Rubeus Hagrid plays a vital role in Harry’s discovery of the magical world. As Keeper of the Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts and later a teacher of Care of Magical Creatures, he becomes one of Harry’s first true friends. Ginny Weasley, meanwhile, is the youngest child of the Weasley family. A Gryffindor student, she gradually establishes herself as a talented and courageous witch and plays an increasingly important role in the fight against Voldemort.
