GUNDAM SENTINEL – MG 1/100 MSZ-006C1 Zeta Plus C1 – Model Kit

Discover the MSZ-006C1 Zeta Plus C1, a transformable Mobile Suit developed for space operations, with this 1/100 scale Master Grade model kit from Bandai Spirits. Featured in Gundam Sentinel, this evolution of the Zeta Plus is distinguished by its grey military livery, its specialised equipment for space combat and its imposing Beam Smart Gun.

This Master Grade version reproduces one of the Zeta Plus C1’s key features: its ability to switch from Mobile Suit mode to Waverider mode. The integrated transformation mechanism utilises ABS components and locking systems to ensure the various parts of the model are securely held in place in each configuration. The Wing Binders also feature a mechanism designed to ensure their stability during transformation. 

The model features the specific equipment of the C1 version, notably a backpack adapted for space operations and propellant tanks fitted to the rear structures. Its Beam Smart Gun, the iconic weapon of this variant, plays a key role in its silhouette in Waverider mode and enhances the model’s technical appearance. 

The parts are moulded in different colours and designed to be assembled primarily by snapping them together. Painting is not essential to achieve the Mobile Suit’s overall appearance, but Gunpla enthusiasts can enhance the build with panel lining, markings or a custom paint job to emphasise the mechanical and military aesthetic of this unit from the Universal Century.

The MSZ-006C1 Zeta Plus C1 is an evolution of the MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus A1, primarily adapted for space operations. Developed by Anaheim Electronics, it features, in particular, a new backpack fitted with additional thrusters, systems adapted for long-range missions, and a powerful Beam Smart Gun. The model retains the transformation capability characteristic of the Zeta family and can adopt a Waverider configuration optimised for high-speed travel. 

In Gundam Sentinel, several Zeta Plus C1 units were assigned to Task Force Alpha during the Pezun Rebellion in U.C. 0088. Pilots such as Sigman Shade and Tex West took part in operations alongside the S Gundam and later the Ex-S Gundam. With its design by Hajime Katoki, its space-faring equipment and its highly technical silhouette, the Zeta Plus C1 has become one of the machines most representative of the Gundam Sentinel aesthetic.
