Take the plunge and build your first Mobile Suit with the official Entry Grade model kit of the RX-78-2 Gundam!
Designed to celebrate the universal accessibility of model-making, Bandai Hobby’s Entry Grade (EG) range is redefining the rules of Gunpla. This kit of the original Gundam, piloted by the legendary Amuro Ray, is the perfect introduction for children, teenagers and adults keen to try their hand at model-building without being put off by technical complexity.
This high-end model benefits from Bandai’s most advanced modern engineering. The plastic sprues utilise the patented ‘Touch Gate’ technology: you can cleanly detach each part by hand with a simple press of the finger, leaving no flash. The model is fully pre-coloured with impeccable separation of the primary colours (white, blue, red and bright yellow). Even the famous yellow-eyed camera is outlined by an ingenious black shadow relief, completely eliminating the need to apply small, fiddly stickers.
The assembly experience is all about pure enjoyment and instant results. No messy glue, no model-making pliers, no paintbrushes required. The high-precision components snap together smoothly with a simple mechanical press. Once the joints are assembled, the 14 cm tall robot boasts exceptional flexibility at the hips, knees and shoulders. Supplied with its laser rifle (Beam Rifle) and its iconic red and white heavy shield (Shield), it is ready to strike heroic combat poses right on your shelves.
