Origin and background of the character
The character Laios is the protagonist of the famous culinary fantasy manga *Gloutons et Dragons* (*Delicious in Dungeon* / *Dungeon Meshi*), written and illustrated by Ryoko Kui and adapted into a hit animated series. The plot follows a group of adventurers led by Laios as they venture deep into a dungeon to rescue his sister Falin, who has been devoured by a red dragon. To save time and conserve their resources, this pragmatic leader encourages his companions to cook and eat the local monsters. A long-time enthusiast of the biology of the labyrinth’s creatures, Laios displays boundless enthusiasm and an insatiable scientific curiosity when it comes to testing new recipes featuring slimes or basilisks.
This vinyl figurine perfectly captures his appearance as a knight in armour, depicting him with his classic sword and breastplate, ready to bring a touch of adventure and fantastical gastronomy to the shelves of manga enthusiasts.
