Character background and lore

Frieren is an elven sorceress who has lived for over a thousand years. She was once part of the hero Himmel’s group, alongside the priest Heiter and the warrior Eisen. Together, they undertook a ten-year quest that culminated in the defeat of the Demon King.

Due to her exceptional longevity, Frieren perceives the passage of time very differently from humans. After Himmel’s disappearance, she gradually realised how little time she had spent truly getting to know her former companions. She therefore set out on a new journey to gain a better understanding of humans and the nature of the bonds she forms with them.

Accompanied in particular by Fern and Stark, Frieren continues her journey whilst continuing to seek out and collect new spells. Her calm demeanour, her vast experience of magic and her power, concealed behind an often aloof attitude, make her one of the most remarkable sorceresses in her world.
