Based on *Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End*, this Banpresto figurine depicts Fern in an original coffee-themed design. Designed as a counterpart to the Café version of Frieren, this figurine, standing approximately 20 cm tall, depicts the young mage in a waitress’s uniform, a far cry from her usual adventurer’s outfit.
Fern wears a long, deep-blue dress covered by a wide, white, ruffled apron. The top of her outfit is a light blue shade, featuring a small blue bow at the collar and matching ribbons at the wrists. Her long brown lace-up ankle boots complete this outfit, inspired by café uniforms. Her long purple hair flows out widely to one side, adding movement to an otherwise calm and composed composition.
The scene depicts Fern delicately holding a cup resting on its saucer between both hands, as if she were about to serve a drink to a customer. Her discreet and reserved expression remains true to her character in the series. Paired with the Frieren Café figurine from the same series, this version allows you to create a duo capturing a warm, everyday theme centred on the two sorceresses.
Fern is a young sorceress who travels alongside Frieren. An orphan of war, she was taken in and raised by Heiter, a former priest of the group of heroes who had once defeated the Demon King alongside Frieren. She subsequently became the elf’s apprentice and, thanks to her training and her exceptional mastery of mana control acquired from childhood, developed skills advanced enough to pass the first-class mage examination.
Calm, serious and particularly responsible, Fern regularly finds herself looking after Frieren, whose day-to-day behaviour can be far more chaotic. The anime’s official website even describes her as often taking on a sort of maternal role towards her master, whilst showing a side more in keeping with that of a young girl her own age, particularly when she is with Stark.
Alongside Frieren and Stark, Fern sets out on a new journey to Aureole, the land where souls are said to rest. This ‘Café Fern’ version deliberately moves away from scenes of magic and combat to highlight this more everyday facet of the character, her composed demeanour here being portrayed in a scene of service centred around a cup of coffee.
