Character background and lore
In the poetic and melancholic world of Frieren, Aura the Guillotine is a powerful demon who has survived for over five centuries and is one of the Demon King’s formidable lieutenants amongst the Seven Sages of Destruction. Nicknamed “the Guillotine” due to her unfortunate habit of beheading her defeated opponents to bolster her army of immortal puppets, she wields an ancient and absolute form of magic: Auserlese. Using her Scale of Obedience, she compares her own occult energy (mana) with that of her target; whoever possesses the greater amount of mana gains total and eternal control over the other’s body. Confident in her dominance after having amassed phenomenal magical power over the centuries, she makes the fatal mistake of challenging the elf Frieren, unaware that the latter is concealing her true aura. This psychological and magical duel remains one of the most memorable, rewarding and iconic moments in the series. This figurine celebrates all the deadly grace and ruthless charisma of this iconic figure of pop culture.
