Origin and backstory of the character
Launched in 1980, Friday the 13th is one of the founding and most lucrative sagas of the slasher genre in horror cinema. The overall plot revolves around the cursed surroundings of the Crystal Lake holiday camp, marked by the appearances of Jason Voorhees, a relentless and virtually immortal killer driven by a thirst for revenge. It is precisely during the events of the film Friday the 13th Part III that the character seizes a hockey mask from one of his victims to conceal his disfigured features. This makeshift prop, which instantly became a timeless icon of pop culture, single-handedly symbolises the dread of films from that era. This Paladone lamp immortalises this legacy with its refined and aesthetic lighting.
