Origin and background of the character
The character Scrap Baby hails from the famous and terrifying indie video game franchise Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF), created by Scott Cawthon, and is based here on his appearance in the virtual reality experience Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2. The overarching plot of the saga centres on the survival of night watchmen or staff members confronted by animatronic mascots possessed by the spirits of missing children, which come to life and become murderous once darkness falls. Scrap Baby is the chaotic and damaged reconstruction of Circus Baby, a complex humanoid robot that became a motley heap of scrap metal after being banished from the body of the entity Ennard. Forced to repair itself using salvaged parts, it now sports a giant metal claw in place of its right hand and roller skates to move around quickly.
This vinyl figurine perfectly captures her nightmarish, fragmented appearance, depicting her hair as multicoloured cables, her fixed, mechanical doll-like eyes and her exposed metal framework, ready to bring an atmosphere of horror and suspense to the shelves of gaming enthusiasts.
