Origin and character lore
In the world of Fantastic Beasts, the Niffler is a small creature native to Great Britain that looks like a cross between a platypus and a mole. This burrowing animal has an uncontrollable obsession with anything that glitters: gold coins, jewellery, belt buckles or precious objects. Equipped with a magical pouch on its belly with an almost limitless capacity (similar to an Undetectable Expansion Charm), it instantly hides its stolen treasures there. A favourite and particularly boisterous companion of the magizoologist Norbert Dragonneau, this Niffler regularly escapes from his suitcase, causing hilarious disasters in New York or Paris, whilst proving to be an unexpected ally in the most critical situations. This figurine celebrates the irresistible charm of this big-hearted thief.
