Add the most recognisable icon from the Fallout universe to your collection with this Funko POP! Games No. 1316 – Vault Boy figurine. As the franchise’s true mascot, Vault Boy has always featured on interfaces, propaganda posters, manuals and visuals associated with Vault-Tec, with his broad smile and deliberately offbeat optimism set against the series’ post-apocalyptic world.
This version is an essential addition to any Fallout collection, as Vault Boy is more than just a character: he embodies the very visual identity of the franchise and has been used for decades to illustrate Vault-Tec’s skills, statistics, perks and promotional messages.
Vault Boy is the mascot of Vault-Tec Corporation, the company behind the famous underground vaults in the Fallout universe. He appears in the company’s advertising materials with a consistently cheerful and reassuring demeanour, typical of the 1950s American retro aesthetic that characterises the franchise.
In the games, Vault Boy is notably used to represent the various S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats, skills, perks and numerous gameplay situations. His illustrations often play on a deliberate contrast between his enthusiastic expression and situations that are extremely dangerous, absurd or violent.
His design has become inextricably linked with Fallout: blond hair, a blue and yellow Vault-Tec jumpsuit, a broad smile and his famous thumbs-up gesture. This visual identity contributes significantly to the series’ distinctive blend of satire, retrofuturism and black humour.
Vault Boy is therefore not a traditional protagonist in the same sense as a Vault dweller or a companion encountered in the games. He functions primarily as a graphic symbol of Vault-Tec and the entire Fallout franchise, which explains his recurring presence in merchandise and Funko collections.
