The Blob of Annihilation is a new high-level creature introduced in the revised Monster Manual for the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons. It is a gargantuan Ooze, designed as a threat for experienced adventurers. Wizards of the Coast presents it as one of the bestiary’s new major predators.
This entity is born when cosmic entropic matter fuses with the remains of a dead god or titan in Wildspace. Once unleashed upon an inhabited world, it advances by absorbing virtually everything in its path: vegetation, buildings and creatures vanish into its mass. Magical items are among the few things capable of withstanding its destructive internal environment.
The Funko diorama directly captures this concept by depicting several houses already engulfed by the Blob’s mass, whilst the gigantic purple skull emerging from the creature emphasises its supernatural and apocalyptic nature.
