DRAGON BALL Z - Vegeta - Figure Solid Edge Works 17cm

This Banpresto figurine depicts Vegeta in his classic *Dragon Ball Z* appearance, as part of the Solid Edge Works collection. Standing approximately 17 cm tall, it showcases the Prince of the Saiyans in an upright, firm and deliberately imposing stance.

Vegeta is depicted in his normal form, with his famous spiky black hair and stern expression. He wears a tight-fitting blue jumpsuit that shows off his musculature, complemented by his white Saiyan armour with gold detailing. White gloves and high boots complete this outfit, which is instantly recognisable as the character’s from Dragon Ball Z.

The deliberately understated pose draws attention to Vegeta’s silhouette: broad shoulders, arms at his sides, clenched fists and his gaze fixed straight ahead. The Solid Edge Works collection specifically favours this type of sculpture, with sharp contours and pronounced anatomical definition, lending Vegeta a particularly proud and confident presence here.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Vegeta is the prince of the Saiyan people and one of the main characters in Dragon Ball Z. When he first appeared in the Saiyan arc, he was still a ruthless warrior travelling through space with Nappa to conquer planets. After learning of the existence of the Dragon Balls from Raditz, he travels to Earth in the hope of gaining immortality and ends up facing Son Goku in a battle that marks the beginning of their long-standing rivalry.

His pride is one of the fundamental aspects of his personality. Vegeta constantly asserts his status as Prince of the Saiyans and initially regards Goku, a warrior from a lower class, as unworthy of competing with him. Their confrontation on Earth, however, ends without Vegeta securing a true victory; he is forced to retreat after facing Goku, Gohan, Krillin and Yajirobe.

Over the course of *Dragon Ball Z*, Vegeta undergoes a profound transformation. From a former enemy, he gradually becomes a key ally to the heroes, whilst retaining his obsession with power and his desire to surpass Goku. His relationship with Bulma and the birth of their son Trunks also help to transform his personality: the official Dragon Ball website highlights that his evolution into a more involved father figure is one of the character’s most significant changes.

This Solid Edge Works figurine specifically captures Vegeta’s most iconic image: the proud and unyielding Saiyan warrior, with black hair, combat armour and an upright posture, whose self-assurance and rivalry with Goku define much of his journey in Dragon Ball Z.
