DRAGON BALL Z - Son Goku - Figure Grandista 25cm

Discover Son Goku in Super Saiyan form with this impressive Grandista II figure, measuring approximately 25 cm, produced by Banpresto. Taken from Dragon Ball Z, this figure showcases the Saiyan in one of his most iconic transformations, featuring the large-scale sculpting characteristic of the Grandista collection.

Goku is depicted in his traditional orange dōgi, complemented by blue accents, his spiky golden hair and the focused gaze of a Super Saiyan. His pose captures the build-up to the Kamehameha, with his arms positioned to channel his energy before unleashing his famous attack. The detailed rendering of the folds in his clothing and hair accentuates the sense of power conveyed by the scene.

Made from PVC, the figurine stands approximately 25 cm tall. Banpresto’s Grandista range features characters depicted in larger scales than many classic prize figurines, giving this version of Goku a particularly striking presence on display.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Son Goku is the central protagonist of the Dragon Ball universe. Originally from the planet Vegeta and a member of the Saiyan race, he was sent to Earth whilst still a child. He grows up there, far removed from his extraterrestrial origins, and develops a lifelong passion for martial arts and opponents capable of pushing him to his limits.

In Dragon Ball Z, Goku gradually discovers his Saiyan heritage and faces ever more powerful enemies. During his battle against Frieza on Namek, Krillin’s death provokes such intense anger in him that it triggers his first transformation into a Super Saiyan. His hair turns gold, his eyes change colour and his power increases considerably.

This transformation is one of the most famous moments in the saga and subsequently became a fundamental stage in the evolution of Saiyan fighters. The Kamehameha, a technique he learnt from Master Roshi, remains one of Goku’s – and indeed the entire franchise’s – most iconic attacks.

This 25 cm Grandista II Son Goku Super Saiyan figurine thus brings together two of the character’s key symbols: his legendary transformation into a Super Saiyan and the build-up to his iconic Kamehameha.
