Origin and world of the character
The character of Son Goku is the central protagonist of the Japanese Dragon Ball franchise, created by mangaka Akira Toriyama. The Dragon Ball Z animated series begins chronologically five years after the end of the original story and focuses on protecting Earth from multiple antagonists, including alien conquerors, cyborgs and magical entities. The 'Super Saiyan' form is a major warrior transformation that alters the character's hair structure, giving him straight golden hair and a drastic increase in his fighting strength. Kamehameha, a technique originally devised by Turtle Genius (Master Roshi), involves concentrating latent vital energy (Ki) between the palms of the hands before releasing it in the form of a destructive long-range energy flow.
